Frequently Asked Questions
How many steaks will I get? We are not sure of that. Every animal produces a different number of steaks. We strive to maximize the number for every beef share.
How much ground beef will I get? Between 20-28% of the beef on an animal ends up as ground beef.
What is the total weight of the beef? At least 125lbs for a 1/4 and 250lbs for a 1/2 of beef.
Is the above list a complete list of the cuts I will receive? No, because each animal is different, we leave a few cuts up to the discretion of our butcher. We will always work to get you the best possible cuts for your beef share.
How will you deliver it to me? We will deliver it to you in our freezer trailer. The meat will be frozen, vacuum sealed and in boxes for your convince.
Will I get updated pick up or delivery information? Yes, you will be informed 5-7 days before your order is ready.
What size freezer do I need? We recommend no smaller than 5 cubic foot for an 1/8, 10 cubic foot for a 1/4 and 20 cubic foot for a 1/2. This should hold your beef share easily and give you a little extra space.
Quality Control - All of our beef is USDA certified, dry-aged for 7 to 14 days for a luxurious beef flavor and buttery tenderness. Our beef is hand carved by a master butcher at a family-owned USDA processing facility. It is then vacuum sealed and flash frozen.
No Hormone or Antibiotic Promise - All Prime Reserve Ranch beef products are raised using ethical handling practice and are pasture raised. No hormones, antibiotics, or steroids are ever administered to an animal that goes through the beef program. We do not allow any fillers or preservatives to be used while cutting and packaging our meat.
